Thanks to everyone who’s listened to our first episode so far—and if you haven’t yet, what are you waiting for?—click here. A few people have been in touch with some feedback, which is great. Keep your comments coming!
In our inaugural episode we discuss 70s classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind and how it’s held up over the years.
Sam: Hello my name’s Sam
Tonks: And I’m Tonks
S: And that’s Jay in the corner, and this is Celluloid Scrutiny. This is our new podcast where we take movies up, hold them under the light, look at them through the lens of the social issues of 2018. I am Sam, I am an amateur filmmaker and screenwriter living in Nottingham UK.
Hey there, and welcome to Celluloid Scrutiny!
We are a twice monthly podcast that aims to look at “classic” films with the eye of a modern viewer. Or, put another way, we’re going to watch whatever films we want to watch and then talk about them for your entertainment.
Celluloid Scrutiny is hosted by myself, and my long-suffering spousal unit, Sam. We rely on the ever-wonderful Jay to help keep us on topic, for editing and transcripts.
